Biography

Douglas Brownfield is the Commercial Director, LIAD Smart business of Ampacet Corporation. He has been in the plastics industry for over 35 years, starting his career with Dow Chemical.

Douglas has been with Ampacet for 25 years, developing color and functional additives for the molding and extrusion markets. He joined the business unit of Ampacet, LIAD Smart, in 2019 when they acquired the Israeli-based company LIAD automation. He and the LIAD Smart team are working on introducing the new in-line color vision, measurement, and correction technologies for the plastic processing industry.
